How to use V2H charging station
To use a V2H (vehicle to home) charging station, you need a compatible vehicle and a bidirectional charging system equipped with relevant meters and transfer switches. When in use, please insert the vehicle into a V2H charging station, which will intelligently distribute power to vehicle charging, home power supply, or both. During power outages, the system will be isolated from the grid and use vehicle batteries to power homes or buildings.
Car to Home (V2H)
V2H refers to the use of electric vehicles with bidirectional charging function to supply power to homes or buildings during power outages or emergency situations. Vehicle batteries can serve as a backup power source for households, providing electricity to homes and systems until the power grid is restored.
V2H technology enables electric vehicle owners to integrate their vehicles into home energy management systems, thereby enhancing energy resilience and self-sufficiency.
How to use V2H discharger system
Ensure compatibility of your settings: You must have a V2H compatible electric vehicle, a bidirectional charger, and install an energy meter on your home distribution board. In addition, an automatic transfer switch is required to activate the backup power supply.
Connect your vehicle: Insert the charger into your electric car. The system is designed to automatically manage the flow of electricity, so no special steps are required except for plugging in the power source.
Manage power flow: The system will monitor the energy demand in your home and use car batteries to power your house or charge your car based on your needs and time.
Activate backup power supply (during power outage): The transfer switch will detect power outages in the grid and disconnect your home from the grid, allowing the V2H system to use electric vehicle batteries to power your home.
Control settings: You can typically use mobile applications to monitor power flow, set preferences for cars to power homes, and receive notifications.
