Kamfanin Tesla ya yanke shawarar yin wani gagarumin mataki, wanda zai iya yin tasiri sosai ga kasuwar cajin EV ta Arewacin Amurka. Kamfanin ya sanar da cewa haɗin caji na cikin gida da aka ƙirƙira zai kasance a shirye ga masana'antar a matsayin mizani na jama'a.

A cikin shekaru 10+ da suka gabata, tsarin caji na Tesla an yi amfani da shi ne kawai a cikin motocin Tesla (Model S, Model X, Model 3, kuma a ƙarshe a cikin Model Y) don caji na AC (mataki ɗaya) da kuma caji na DC (har zuwa 250 kW idan aka kwatanta da V3 Superchargers).
